HI, I'M MILAN CARICATURES,
A Colombian cartoonist passionate about the art of drawing since childhood, applying my strokes to replicate works of cartoons from animated programs or anything I could draw.
Over the years I saw drawing only as a hobby, however in 2018 the cartoon found me to show me that it was always in me despite having had a small friendship with this art many years ago but that I could not advance, it was in November of this year that thanks to one of the largest cartoon festivals internationally - Ricardo Rendon Bravo International Cartoon Festival - it showed me that I was good at this beautiful branch of art specifically in political graphic humour by publishing my first work in January 2019 in a local newspaper in which my works continued to be published until the end of 2022. But in those years thanks to the support of friends, colleagues and family I continued to grow in the world of cartooning thanks to the fact that my publications managed to reach many places in Colombia; Over the course of those years, I decided not to work so much with graphic humour and focused on drawing live cartoons, managing to participate in the festival where I was born and raised and in other events bringing joy and fun to many people with my cartoons, thanks to this I managed to get to a well-known amusement park in my town and start seeing my art as my job.
At the end of 2022, I embarked on a trip to Australia, specifically to Melbourne, not only with the dream of taking my art to other corners of the world but also to learn the English language and study graphic design to add more to my work as an artist. After almost a year of fear of the language barrier, I managed to face it, and since the end of 2023, I have not stopped working with my cartoons in Australia, working as a busker, in all kinds of events in Schools, at The Couch, at Queen Victoria Market, with the city of Melbourne, in Travel Agencies, themed events, birthday parties, in Tasmania, Sydney, etc. Thanks to Melbourne's multiculturalism, my cartoons have managed to be taken to a large part of Australia and some parts of the world, not only to the multiculturalism but also to the ease of working with digital tools that allow me to transform my cartoons into digital art for those who want my cartoons from anywhere in the world.
